Its days like this when you remember how great it is to live in a free society. But we must all remember the sacrifices of all the men and women that died over the years to give us the opportunities today.

The =[IRA]= Welcomes its Newest Recruit!

Outlaw's Avatar With the undertaking of a new game come many challenges. Learning new maps, planning new strats, and of course finding some ripe new recruits to fill the ranks of the clan.

We are welcoming an old friend of the =[IRA]= to our ranks. He has played many games with us over the last year and a half, including Star Wars Galaxies, Neverwinter Nights, Command and Conquer Generals, some Mohaa (even though it wasn't his strongest game), and most recently Battlefield: Vietnam.

Our newest recruit is a great friend of the old FUUP foursome and he knows pretty much everyone in the clan.

The =[IRA]= is pleased to welcome another Jersey boy to the clan. Everyone give a round of applause to our newest recruit:

He has been playing BFV with us since the games release and shows great promise, adding skill and team awareness.

Everyone do everything you can to get Port up to speed and get him situated, and Port...start reading the forums you have a lot of catching up to do!

IRA "Executes" the Forgotten Outlawz in BF:V

Outlaw's Avatar The Internet Rogue Assassins managed to remain undefeated (2-0) in Battlefield: Vietnam 8 vs 8 Conquest against an attacking Forgotten Outlawz.

The first map was Cambodian Incursion with Team IRA starting as NVA attacking entrenched American positions. We lost round one of the first map by only 4 tickets. As round two of the first map begun Team IRA unleashed hellish firepower on the aggressors and won by 60 tickets. Overall, Team IRA won the first map by 56 tickets.

The second map was Ho Chi Minh Trail, with Team IRA starting as NVA once again. Going against a determined and well planned attack by Fz, Team IRA lost round one of Map 2 by 23 tickets, coming back from behind to bring the first map close. As the second round of Map 2 began, Team IRA led by superior teamwork and firepower managed to pin Fz in the central temple and win by 64 tickets, giving us a total win of 40 tickets.

Great strategy and teamwork led to our victory today. Here are the point totals for everyone in the match

Doc - 98 points
Gunny - 96 points
Phearless - 87 points
Requiem - 80 points
Outlaw - 79 points
Bart - 79 points
General Lee - 66 points
RedAlert - 46 points

Nice game guys, well played, and good game Fz.

IRA Wins First Match in Battlefield Vietnam

Outlaw's Avatar IRA defended its #2 rank in the Battlefield Vietnam 8 vs 8 Conquest Ladder vs the Mythical Horde.

Team IRA dominated the first map, The Battle of Khe Sahn with superior air power and great teamwork. Overall we won the first map by 124 tickets, nice job IRA in our first match.

The second map, Reclaiming Hue, saw close and intense gun battles through the war torn streets of Hue. MH played tightly the second map, but Team IRA held on for the win, winning the second round by 57 tickets.

Nice job guys, and lets have great success on this ladder.

gg MH, gg BFV, gg Punkbuster..

Medals to be posted later, we may be re-doing the medal system for this game!!! Stay Tuned!

Outlaw's Avatar After over a year and half of competing actively in Medal of Honor ladders, the Internet Rogue Assassins have decided to retire from competition to compete in other games. We had originally planned to leave MOHAA back in October for Call of Duty, but sadly, Call of Disappointment did not live up to our expectations. Now, with Battlefield: Vietnam and Unreal Tournament 2004 landing on store shelves we are excited to explore new competition and start new rivalries.

MOHAA was a lot of fun and leaves our team with a lot of good memories. We began the task of defending our #1 rank in TWL tdm 6v6 after r@t madness moved onto to CoD. We successfully defended the #1 rank against teams like HLF, HFE, ECA, TLH, KO, among others. At one point, our TWL tdm record was a very unimpressive 13-18. We then went on a 28-3 run to finish at 41-21, #2 on TWL tdm.

Many teams did not like us due to our inflexibility when it came to following rules. We made a lot of enemies, and some friends along the way.

All of the current and past members of the =[IRA]= love Medal of Honor, and it will always hold a special place within all of us. After all, it was this game that brought us all together and helped form a team of dedicated friends. This game will be missed but we all desperately needed a change.

Some various highlights of our career in MOHAA

#1 TWL TDM 6v6
#1 TWL Round-based TDM
#1 TWL TDM 2v2 (Doc and Sniper props)
#1 Squadgames 6v6 TDM
#1 Squadgames 2v2 Sniper Only, record 15-1 (Gunplay, Requiem, General Lee, Outlaw)
CAL Season 1 Semi-finals – Lost to 1fj – great match!

TWL, OGL, CAL, and Squadgames: Thanks for the games and taking the time to run organized online leagues. We will remain members of those ladders with our new games.

We are moving towards the future, fighting the urge to look back on the past….

IRA Shoots a LOAD in OGL TDM

Outlaw's Avatar In our first game back in the OGL TDM ladder team IRA was faced with the task of regaining some ladder rungs. Our opponent was LOAD clan, the map, Algiers.

The first 2 rounds of the map were a basic campfest, with minor skirmishes throughout the map.

The first OT round started off with Gunplay getting a grenade kill in the opening seconds. This forced LOAD to attack. Team IRA held off the onslaught and held on to win in OT 24-9.

Here are the scores for everyone during the match.

Red Alert 3-0 (Medal)
Liter Soul 3-0 (Medal) nice job Liter!
Eastbrick 5-1
Outlaw 8-2
Gunplay 4-4
General Lee 3-4

Nice job taking #12 guys, lets move up this ladder and stay focused!

IRA 'Assassinates' ECA - Holds Onto Number 1 Position

In a grudge match between IRA and ECA to see who would be number 1 in TWL, the IRA won convincingly.

Match started off in Stalingrad. ECA started off with a quick lead and camped the white building. IRA Gunplay was able to get a few kills and from there it turned into a real gun battle. IRA was able to win by double digits and held every ECA player to a negative ratio! Great job to Gunplay with a 17-8 score. Not so mediocre on that map gunny! :)

The next map was Snowy Park. ECA again took a quick lead with some well placed grenades and held that lead for about 9 minutes. IRA switched strats and was able to win by a comfortable 19 kills. Only one ECA player was able to get a positive ratio on this map! Congrats to Requiem with a score of 10-2!

Overall ratios for the match:

Requiem 2.83 *wins his 1st medal - welcome to the club!!! :)
Gunplay 1.50
Outlaw 1.15
Sniper 1.04
Eastbrick .94
Red Alert .84

Super teamwork and a will to not lose helped us overcome a very determined and much improved ECA team. GG to ECA - I am sure we will meet again as long as you remain in TWL.
